CIPHERKIN / PRIVACY

Privacy, with clarity.

Last updated 20 October 2026. This policy covers the Cipherkin app for iPhone and iPad, published by Black Well Foundry LLC, and this website.

The short version

Cipherkin collects nothing. It has no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking, and no servers of its own. Your notes and passwords stay on your device and aren’t saved.

What the app handles, and where it goes

Free notes aren’t private

Free Classic Cipher notes are sealed with a password built into every copy of Cipherkin, so anyone with the app can open them. They’re for fun, not for secrets. With the one-time unlock you can set your own password; only someone who knows it can open that note. Short or common passwords can be guessed by someone who has the sealed text, so use a longer one for anything that matters.

Children

Cipherkin collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
